Topic: Bangla Literature And Today’s Youth

“Arrogantly broke the window of the house, tore the strings of the sitar, behind the dark clouds, come and listen to the story of a devasted garden once more.”- this line was taken from one of my poems. I enjoy writing poetry. It relaxes and thrills me mentally. My interest in Bangla literature has helped this habit flourish. I aim to conduct research on bangla literature and Novels. But as I've become older, I've realized that young people today don't seem to be interested in Bangla literature. They don't read as many books about bangla literature, novels, or the works of renowned Bangla authors. A book can be enjoyed while simultaneously educating oneself. Anyone who reads Bangla literature will notice a range of feelings, phrases, and ideas as well as the various cultures of Bangladesh. Reading as many books as possible can also expand our vocabulary. People typically don't read or create books not just because they lack desire, but also because they lack the vocabulary, creative ability, and knowledge necessary.

A great treasure of Bengali literature includes the works of Sharatchandra Chattopadhyaya, Rabindranath Tagore, Kazi Nazrul Islam, Jahir Raihan, Kazi Mutahir Hossain, Saleena Begum, Sufia Kamal, Jashimuddin, and others. An outstanding individual, Rabindranath Tagore made significant contributions to Bangla literature in all genres. Despite being referred to as "Vishva Kavi" (the global poet) and winning the Nobel Prize in literature in 1913 for his collection of poems, Gitanjali, he was also an excellent prose writer. Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyaya was one of the era's most well-known authors (1876-1938). Almost all Indian languages have been translated into his writings. Through his publication in the journal sabujpatra, Pramatha Chowdhury popularized informal Bangla prose. His writings demonstrated that Bangla could be used to convey both humorous and serious ideas.

But teenagers no longer read for enjoyment; instead, they read to complete schoolwork. Some parents make an effort to read aloud to their children and encourage reading as a habit. For better citizenship and a democratic government of our country, Bangla Literature reading is necessary. Our nation  has the potential to become even more powerful if we have a citizenry that is well educated and has strong reading skills. We can create a better future if we inspire this generation and the ones to follow to read more Bangla Literature and novels.
